It’s the second track from the group’s upcoming third album.

Imagine Dragons continue to push towards their upcoming third album by dropping their latest single “Thunder.” It follows the release of the Las Vegas band’s January track “Believer,” which peaked at No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last month.

On the track, lead vocalist Dan Reynolds sings about having big dreams as a kid:

Just a young gun with a quick fuse
I was uptight, wanna let loose
I was dreaming of bigger things
And wanna leave my own life behind
Not a yes sir, not a follower
Fit the box, fit the mold

He recalls being mocked by his classmates for wanting to be a star:

Kids were laughing in my classes
While I was scheming for the masses
Who do you think you are?
Dreaming ‘bout being a big star

There’s currently no official release date or title for Imagine Dragons‘ third album, although a leaked Apple Music bio suggests that “Thunder” may be the title track. “I don’t know when it’ll come out—we’re not sure yet, it’s not complete,” Dan Reynolds said in a recent interview with ABC Radio. “But I feel like it’s definitely an evolution for Imagine Dragons, but what kind of evolution, I can’t say yet.” Whatever it ends up being titled, the album will be the group’s first since 2015’s Platinum-certified Smoke + Mirrors.
